General:  This Cichlid has many desirable traits.  For a cichlid it is relatively mild-mannered.  They are colorful and long-lived.   Well-fed adults are a true "show fish".

Tank Mates:  Keep the with active fish of similar size.  We have seen them mix with silver dollars, geophagus cichlids, sharks, large barbs, and even large gouramis.  Adults should be kept in a large tank with other similar size cichlids.

Color Varieties:  Striped Severum, Gold Severum

Diet:  Like most Cichlids they will accept a variety of foods such as Cichlid pellets, Cichlid flakes, frozen foods, krill.   To bring out the best color feed Hikari Cichlid Gold.
