Cichlids

Cichlids comprise a large family of fish. The majority of species are native to South America, or Africa.  A few species are native to Asia, and North America. Cichlids are very popular because most are hardy, long lived, exhibit interesting behavior.  Many are easy to breed. Unlike most fish families, many of them take good care of their young.  We wanted to provide you with some care guides for these popular fish.  We have arbitrarily grouped them into 7 categories based on their housing and compatibility requirements in home aquariums.
