Elmer's Aquarium Community Tank Suggestion Type 1
Small Peaceful Community Fish.
(Neons)
This popular community tank
is a great way to keep a school of colorful neons and other small tetras.
Housing:
Most of these fish do best only when kept in tanks with other calm , very
peaceful species. Many of these fish look good in groups of 3 or more.
Purchase 6 or more to enjoy the relaxing natural beauty of their schooling
movements.
Live plants will add to
the decor of the tank, and also provide a hiding area toward the back of
the tank. If you prefer not to use live plants provide some rocks and
plastic plants to the rear with some open swimming room in the front.
Tank Size:
This community tank is
suitable for tanks 10 gallon or more with standard filtration.
Feeding: Feed 2-3 times a day. Feed
flakes, frozen and freeze-dried foods. Mysid shrimp, brine shrimp,
bloodworms and TetraBits are good choices. For fish with very
small mouths such as Neons and Glowlite tetras we sell some specialty
foods such as Hikari Micro Pellets that are very good for small Tetras. |
