Jumbo Fish      Tank Suggestion #9

A Tank of Jumbo Fish, including Oscars, and Large Cichlids

General:  This tank contains a hardy collection of fish for large tanks. Many of these fish grow over 12" in length and can make an attractive display in tanks of 100 gallon or more.   Oscars are fish with lots of personality, and some of the fish listed below will make suitable tank-mates for them in large tanks.
Tank Conditions: This community is suitable for tanks 75 gallon or more with good filtration and heating. Decorate with a variety of rocks and hiding spots. Plastic plants are best because these fish may uproot live plants. Temperature range 75-80. Maintain 1 tablespoon of salt per 5 gallon. Make sure all fish are of similar size.  If fish get too big you can return them to our store. You can purchase cichlids in singles or groups.
Feeding One advantage of this community fish is that you don’t have to feed them as frequently as smaller fish. . Feed once a day with standard foods such as Tetra Cichlid Sticks, brine shrimp, plankton, and bloodworms; krill and algae tablets for your catfish. Some fish require live feeders such as goldfish, guppies, crayfish or ghost shrimp.
