Bunnies at Elmer's

The rabbits we stock are all locally bred and come from breeders we have known for many years.

Some commonly asked questions about bunnies:

How old are the bunnies you sell?
They are about 8 weeks old.

How long do bunnies live?
Average life span is 8 to 10 years.

How many bunnies should I buy?
Rabbits are best kept as singles or female pairs.  It is not advisable to put two males together since fighting may occur.

What is the gestation period and number of young?
Gestation is 30 days.  Rabbits usually have 6-8 babies at a time.

What do bunnies eat?
We recommend Sun Seed Vita Rabbit Formula and Timothy Hay. You can supplement their diet with honey sticks and salt spools to lick.

Why do bunnies make great pets?
These furry creatures are affectionate, entertaining, intelligent pets with low maintenance.  They are ideal for apartments because they require little space.
